The school spaces provide a safe and informal place within the school day, encouraging peer-level dialogue, strengthening relationships, and early identification of distress and difficulties.

Elem mobile units and street work

Elem’s outreach teams reach the spaces where youth are located: streets, gardens, and parks, establishing informal, eye-level contact, offering a listening ear, initial support, and connection to further assistance when needed.

24/7 emergency facilities

Elem’s emergency frameworks operate nationwide and provide an accessible, safe, and trauma-informed response to young women and men in extreme situations, dealing with homelessness, social exclusion, and exploitation. The frameworks operate in cooperation with the Ministry of Welfare and provide holistic support and response.

Elem’s online activity

Elem Digital operates a variety of therapeutic responses in the digital space with the aim of providing a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for teenagers and young adults online where they can share, express, and consult on any issue that concerns them.

Sexual abuse treatment centers

Elem’s sexual assault treatment system provides a response to children, adolescents, young women, and families dealing with the consequences of sexual assault, through individual, family, and group therapy. The system operates in cooperation with the Ministry of Welfare, the Probation Service, and local authorities, and promotes rehabilitation processes, empowerment, taking responsibility in treating offenders, and preventing repeat offenses.

Youth centers

Elem’s youth centers provide a safe, accessible, and informal space for male and female youth, offering personal guidance, meaningful connections, and group activities within the community and in cooperation with local authorities.

Elem’s presence at parties

The “Good People” program operates in youth entertainment spaces, including nature parties and large events. The teams and volunteers provide support, a listening ear, and assistance to young people in situations of difficulty and distress

Spaces for high-risk youth and young adults

Elem’s community spaces for at-risk youth and young adults provide accessible, community-based support tailored to young women and girls coping with complex trauma, ongoing abuse, and challenging life circumstances. Professional staff and volunteers offer long-term guidance, building trusted, non-judgmental relationships while providing emotional, social, and practical support alongside assistance with housing, employment, education, access to rights, and daily living. The programs foster safety, belonging, and independence, helping participants build a more stable future. They operate in partnership with government ministries, local authorities, and philanthropic foundations, while connecting participants with additional Elem services and community resources when needed.

Volunteering at Elem is a central and significant part of the work for at-risk youth and young adults. Volunteers operate in a variety of fields and serve as significant, non-judgmental, eye-level figures for the youth.
