About Our Work
To truly see someone, without conditions. To choose to be there for them, in your free time and without expecting anything in return. That’s what volunteering at ELEM is all about – and it’s this choice that helps a young person feel valued and open up to someone who is there just for them.
Volunteering with youth lies at the heart of ELEM’s professional work. As one of Israel’s leading civil society organizations, every ELEM program is built on a volunteer-driven approach that sees volunteers as the driving force behind each project – the people who create, lead, and bring it to life.
Volunteering at Elem
Volunteering at ELEM offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of at-risk youth and young adults. Our volunteers serve as ‘significant adults,’ creating a safe space for open, eye-level conversations, offering a listening ear without judgment, and often acting as a bridge that leads young people to receive support and hope for a better future. ELEM’s wide range of projects allows for a precise match to each volunteer’s skills, experience, and personal connection. As part of the program, you will receive in-depth training and close professional guidance throughout your entire journey.
Association Activities
The association operates over 1000 volunteers over the age of 24 who take a significant part in all of Elem’s projects, from direct volunteering with youth and young adults, to volunteering at the headquarters.

Volunteers Needed
Job Description:
Want to volunteer at nature parties? Did you grow up in the trance scene or are you curious about it? Your place is with us in the Good People mobile unit, which has been coming to trance parties in Israel for 15 years. We are looking for ‘night owl’ volunteers who are familiar with the party scene and want to take part and be present in the association’s active harm reduction activities at trance parties. What do we do? Join Elem’s professional team for meetings with youth and young adults during trance parties, out of empathy, peer-level dialogue, endless learning about substances, and encounters with the broad social spectrum in Israel. When? Weekends and holidays, a 24-hour shift once a month
Job Requirements:
- Age: 26 and above
- Familiarity with the world of nature parties, familiarity with various therapeutic fields,
- Commitment to a 24-hour shift – once a month
- Participation in a professional Zoom meeting once a month for the association’s volunteers, participation in quarterly training on Fridays.
